An amendment to the current Standing Offers will be issued extending the end date to May 8, 2009 which will coincide with the launch date of the new method of supply (including web site and system).
In summary, the new method of supply will provide for:
It is to be noted that the 48 consecutive weeks also applies to part-time temporary help resources, from the start date of the Call-up.
In response to the frequently asked question concerning call-ups (against the current THS SOs) that are in place prior to the launch of the new method of supply, the call-ups will continue provided the previous maximum of $89,000 (including GST and all amendments) is not exceeded. Federal Department Users are reminded that the launch of the new system does not affect call-ups that are already in place, i.e. the call-ups continue nor does the launch prevent an amendment to an existing call-up; call-ups issued under the old THS On-Line System (i.e. prior to April 6th) continue and can be amended to the maximum of $89,000.
Training on the new method of supply (including web site and system) for Federal Government Department users will commence January 2009. Under separate cover, specific dates and locations, including training literature (e.g. User Guide), will be provided. Training on the current THS On-Line System will end on December 16th, 2008 in line with the commencement of training sessions on the enhanced THS On-Line System.
It is anticipated that Standing Offers and Supply Arrangements will be issued to successful Suppliers in December 2008. Following the training sessions for Federal Government Department users, information sessions demonstrating the new method of supply, as well as training, will commence for authorized Suppliers in March 2009.
The new method of supply will be launched April 3, 2009, with the week-end being reserved for troubleshooting by PWGSC.
Simultaneous with the launch of the new method of supply will be the termination of the current THS On-Line System.
Further details will be provided through Notices, as well as information communicated through/by the THS Advisory Committee. Meetings of the THS Advisory Committee will resume in November 2008.
