BULLETIN - Closure of Government Offices

In the event that a government office is closed due to the H1N1 flu crisis, the following provisions in the Standing Offer/Supply Arrangements will apply:

Annex D - Protocol and Standards for THS

Section I: General Information

3. Closure of Government Offices

Where resources of the SO-SA Holder/Supplier are providing services on government premises pursuant to a Call-Up/Contract issued by a Designated User and the said premises become non accessible due to evacuation or closure of government offices, the SO-SA Holder/Supplier will be paid for no more than one (1) working week, at the applicable regular rates as shown on the Call-Up/Contract provided that the SO-SA Holder/Supplier submits with its invoice a certification, countersigned by the affected resource(s), stating that:

  • the SO-SA Holder/Supplier has not received any other payment from any other client, including the government, during the period of the closure; and
  • the affected resource(s) has (or have) been or will be paid at the rates such resource(s) is (or/are) entitled to be paid have the services been provided as required in the Call-Up/Contract.

Note: There is no guarantee that the same temporary help resource will remain available upon re-opening of the Government office(s).

If the nature of the THS requirement allows for the Government Department to have the THS resource work off-site then this can be an alternate work around.
