If you no longer wish to be on this mailing list, please notify us at the following address: achatsformationlinguistique.languagetrainingprocurement@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca

Hello,

Please pay close attention to the following information concerning the standing offers for language training

1. Full-time group training in French (work stream 1)

Please note that there will no longer be a short program nor a long program for full-time, group training in French. All sessions will now have a standard length of twelve (12) weeks.

You will find below the upcoming dates for the next sessions:

Group 1:

  • January 16, 2017 to April 7, 2017
  • April 10, 2017 to June 30, 2017
  • July 4, 2017 to September 22, 2017
  • September 25, 2017 to December 15, 2017

Group 2:

  • January 30, 2017 to April 21, 2017
  • April 24, 2017 to July 14, 2017
  • July 17, 2017 to October 6, 2017
  • October 9, 2017 to January 5, 2018

2. Learning plan for full-time language training in the National Capital Region

We have previously mentioned that the Canada School of Public Service (CSPS) will be ceasing the preparation of learning plans at the end of 2016. We wish to advise you that CSPS has ceased the preparation of these plans as of last week. Those who have already submitted a request to CSPS should receive a correspondence to that effect.

We have also indicated that you may now obtain a learner’s language assessment from the private supplier of your choice. Upon consideration and discussion with suppliers from work stream 1 (Full-time group training), we strongly recommend that you use suppliers from work streams 1, 2, 7 and 8 to perform the language assessments for work stream 1. The goal of this recommendation is to avoid that a learner be assigned to an incorrect starting step as this would cause the learner to be enrolled with the wrong school.

If this scenario occurs, to avoid any negative effect on the rest of the students, the learner will have to cancel their training and 100% of the call-up will have to be paid to the supplier.

The costs associated with a language assessment must not be added to a call-up.

3. Hourly rate per learner

We will be undertaking negotiations with suppliers to extend the standing offers that are currently expiring on March 31, 2017. We will send you the new hourly rates as soon as they are available.

Our website will be updated with this information as soon as possible.
