Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) offers certification and qualification programs for many products and/or services based on established standards.
The programs are a convenient, cost-effective method for suppliers to demonstrate product and/or service compliance to an industry recognized standard. Such compliance is often important to the industry, as well as to government and corporate buyers, wholesalers, retailers and consumers. The programs ensure that lists identifying reliable sources of products and/or services are available.
The benefits to suppliers participating in one of these voluntary programs include:
- recognition as a reliable source of quality products and/or services;
- demonstration, through scheduled facility assessments and product testing, that their products and/or services continue to meet the performance criteria of the relevant standard(s); and
- greater market acceptance of their products and/or services through use of the nationally recognized CGSB certification mark.
CGSB extends an invitation to your firm to participate in the applicable program(s). The program manual contains specific information about each program and a set of application forms.
