Reported Case for 2009-2010, 4th Quarter

A disclosure was received under the Public Servants Protection Disclosure Act in which it was alleged a Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) casual employee falsified time sheets claiming an amount that totalled about $1,500. It was also alleged the casual employee kept for personal use an amount of money (less than $200) received from petty cash. After a thorough investigation, it was determined the allegations were founded. As a result of this founded disclosure, the monies owed the Crown were re-imbursed and PWGSC managers were reminded of the requirement to forward time sheets to the appropriate section within PWGSC for verification.

The individual is no longer employed at PWGSC.
