A graduate of McGill University with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1982, Mr. Meroni joined the Public Service in 1985 and possesses vast experience in government procurement at Supply and Services Canada, Environment Canada and Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). As part of his duties at the Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) from 2005 to 2009, Mr. Meroni managed a team providing advice on a wide range of services and transformation initiatives related to real property, acquisitions, information technology and pay and pension services. From 2009 until just recently, Mr. Meroni was Regional Director of Acquisitions and Compensation for the Quebec Region, where he was responsible for implementing numerous procurement solution initiatives and delivering regional projects as part of Canada’s Economic Action Plan for PWGSC and the Canadian Space Agency.
Mr. Meroni was appointed on February 15, 2012, as Acting Regional Director General, Quebec Region. He is responsible for supervising the planning and delivery of the complete spectrum of integrated client-oriented services offered by PWGSC in the Quebec Region.
