SUBJECT: Office of the Auditor General of Canada (OAG), Director and Principal (AS-ASG), Principal (PX), Assistant Auditor General (AA), Deputy Auditor General (DA), Director (DX) and Commissioner of the Environment and Sustainable Development (CE) Groups

1. PURPOSE

1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide you with information concerning a letter of authority for employees in the AS-ASG, PX, AA, DA, DX and CE groups at the OAG.

2. BACKGROUND

2.1 The following occupational groups are affected by this letter of authority:

3. POLICY

3.1 This letter of authority was signed on March 20, 2009, and will expire on March 31, 2011.

3.2 This letter of authority provides for salary increases effective on the following dates:

• April 01, 2009
• April 01, 2010

4. PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS

4.1 The Pay Rate Control File (PRCF) will be updated with the revised rates of pay on October 15, 2009. The Regional Pay System (RPS) will automatically process revision payments on October 26, 2009.

4.2 For detailed reporting requirements in these situations, please refer to the Personnel-Pay Input Manual (PPIM) sections 4-4-09, and 5-9 as well as Compensation Directive 2004-12 "Automated Retroactivity and Adjustments to Extra Duty Pay for Collective Agreements".
