SUBJECT : New BUD Codes for the "Ab-Initio" Trainees in the Radio Operations (RO) and General Technical (GT) Groups
Employer - Treasury Board (TB)
1.1. The purpose of this bulletin is to provide you with information concerning a TB decision for the "ab-initio" trainees in the Radio Operations (RO) and General Technical (GT) groups.
1.2. The new Bargaining Unit Designator (BUD) codes 99402 and 99403 have been created for these sub-groups.
2.1. The following occupational sub-groups are affected by this TB decision:

3.1. This TB decision was signed on November 3, 1994.
4.1. The Pay Rate Control File (PRCF) will be updated with the new rates of pay on February 2, 2012.
4.2. As per the TB decision, these individuals are defined as non-employees and are not entitled to salary or benefits. However these individuals are entitled to an allowance in the amount of $350.00 per week. From this amount $90.00 per week is deducted for room and board.
4.3. Please note that compensation advisors will be responsible for the conversion of individuals to the new occupational sub-groups.
4.4. A Compensation Directive on the subject will follow shortly.
