The following item, which is relative to the compensation product, was introduced in the British Columbia budget that was presented by the Honourable Colin Hansen, Minister of Finance for the Government of British Columbia on March 2, 2010.
Effective January 1, 2011, the Medical Services Plan (MSP) premiums will be increasing as follows:

| $102 for a family of two | $109 for a family of two |
| $114 for a family of three or more | $121 for a family of three or more |
Impact: PWGSC compensation systems will be programmed to reflect this change effective January 2011. Information concerning this change will be communicated to employees paid through the Regional Pay System (RPS) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Pay System. Pension systems will also be programmed to reflect this change.
The Budget reconfirms the introduction of the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) effective July 1, 2010.
Impact: This will impact the purchasing on goods and services in the province of British Columbia.
