SUBJECT: Blue Cross of Atlantic Canada

1. PURPOSE

1 PURPOSE

1.1 The purpose of this directive is to advise you of a change in premium rates for Blue Cross of Atlantic Canada.

1.2 In this text, use of the masculine is generic and applies to both men and women.

1.3 A notice of information to employees on these subjects has been included with this Compensation Directive and will be posted to the following GENet site five (5) days after the publication date of this document. GENet -- Programs and Services Publiservice

2. POLICY

2.1 Blue Cross of Atlantic Canada has announced an increase in premiums effective February 1, 2002, for March 2002 coverage. The change applies to all employees with these deductions.

2.2 The revised rates are as follows:

Policy 9503 (Regular Employees)

  Present Rates New Rates
Single $ 8.87 $ 9.72
Family $ 21.04 $ 23.06

3. PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS

3.1 Due to the low number of affected accounts, only two (2) across the country, a bulk change will not be done. The Compensation Advisors must change the rates manually and must also pick up the arrears for February 2002, since cycle 1 for February has already been processed.
