DEFINITION

To stop a block of leave with income averaging (LIA) - leave without pay (LWOP).

REMARKS:

1. | AMENDING EFFECTIVE DATES.

   REPORT a PAC 15S to stop the current LIA-LWOP period and REPORT a new PAC 15C with the appropriate dates. If the LIA-LWOP period has changed, then a PAC 18A306 may be required.

2. | AMENDING THE REASON CODE FOR A BLOCK OF LIA-LWOP PRESENT ON THE MER.

   When a change to the reason code is required for a partial period for a block of LIA-LWOP which is present on the Master Employee Record (MER) A/D Block, REPORT a PAC 15S306 for the appropriate LIA-LWOP period and REPORT two new PAC 15C306's with the appropriate dates and reason codes.

   | If the reason code is applicable to the full period for a block of LIA-LWOP which is present on the MER A/D Block, then REPORT a PAC 15A306 with the SAME initial effective from and to dates, H/D/W indicator and Number of H/D/W and the NEW reason code.

3. | END OF LIA-LWOP PERIOD.

   At the end of each LIA-LWOP period, the system will automatically drop the PAC 15C306 or PAC 15A306 from the MER.

| SALARY/SERVICE UPDATE

| When a PAC 15S306 is processed by the Salary/Service History Update program:

• | It deletes the 15 306 line matching the effective from date of the PAC 15S306.
