Subsection: ENTITLEMENT - PRE-RETIREMENT TRANSITION LEAVE (PRL) (PAC Modifier "S")
DEFINITION
To stop the pre-retirement transition leave (PRL) arrangement.
CANCELLATION OF APPROVED LEAVE ARRANGEMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES FOR EXAMPLE, MARRIAGE BREAKDOWN, DEATH OF A FAMILY MEMBER OR SIGNIFICANT CHANGES IN THE FINANCIAL, PERSONAL OR HEALTH STATUS OF THE EMPLOYEE.

REMARKS
| MER FIELDS
Upon processing of the pay action, the pay system will automatically reinstate the pay account to full salary and pre-PRL status. The following Master Employee Record (MER) fields will be modified automatically:
- | MER Field 113 = Leave Arrangement Indicator Code will be changed from "3" to "6". This indicates that the employee was on PRL.
- MER Field 114 = Reduced salary will be zero-filled.
- | MER Field 115 = PRL "Assigned Work Week Hour Reduction" will be zero-filled.
- | MER Field 116 = "Leave Arrangement End Date" will be blanked.
ENTITLEMENTS
The system will automatically reinstate the affected entitlements. Any entitlements that had a value present in Field 70 will have that value and the value in Field 69 (reduced rate) zero-filled (REFER to Section PPIM 4-4-18-5-2).
| SALARY/SERVICE UPDATE
When a PAC 18S346 is processed by the "Salary/Service History Update" Program:
- It closes the current 15 346 line using the "Effective From" date of the PAC 18S346 minus half a day.
