Pay and Pension Services for Government Employees - Home page
We are Canada's largest payroll and pension administrator. Our objective is to enhance and improve compensation services for federal departments, agencies, and public service pensioners; to add value and to make the best possible use of taxpayers' money.
Attention: Broadcast Messages
We have identified an issue with transactions processed in the Compensation Web Application for the Public Service Health Care Plan. Some transactions are rejected with the error message code 249, which is (The "Effective From" date of the transaction is greater than the pay period end date). Public Works and Government Services Canada is currently working on a solution and you will be advised when the issue is corrected.
A number of tax slips that were to be printed or provided via epost to employees who do not have access to the Compensation Web Applications (CWA), were not produced last week as planned. Missing slips are now being printed and mailed to individuals’ home addresses where known, or being couriered to departments. Departments may want to strengthen communications with employees without CWA access and to encourage them to contact their compensation advisor or use their Canada Revenue Agency’s and Revenu Quebec’s My Account. Public Works and Government Services Canada will also, upon request to the CWA Help Desk (email@example.com), provide tax slips directly.
The option to re-start the printing of the paystub on the Compensation Web Application (CWA) site for employee has been removed. When an employee has suppressed the printing of their paystub through the CWA stop printing of the paystub option, there will no longer be an option to re-start once removed. Only Compensation Advisors will be able to re-start by changing the Direct Deposit Payment (DFT) code to a 1 in field 71 (see the Personnel-Pay Input Manual (PPIM) sections PPIM 14-2-1).
On May 12, 2014, the online version of Your Pension and Insurance Benefits Statement (PIBS) has been updated with information as of April 1, 2014.
If your department has access to the Compensation Web Applications (CWA), you can view your statement online by accessing the secure Active Member Pension Applications - Personalized Pension Tools.
