National Capital Region(NCR) - Regional Association of Compensation Managers(ACM)

ACM-NCR Mandate

Role

The role of the NCR Regional ACM is to:

  • Provide a forum for discussion and an exchange of views, ideas and lobby for improvements concerning Public Service wide compensation and management issues.
  • Promote the professional training, development and rejuvenation of the compensation community.
  • Provide leadership and support for the compensation community within the NCR.
  • Provide representation and support at the National ACM.
  • Promote interaction with other Regional ACM's.

Membership

  1. Limited to no more than 20 active (voting) members of Compensation Managers or equivalent (1 per organization) plus a Chairperson. If an active member is absent for 3 consecutives meetings without notification, this member will be replaced.
  2. Representatives to the NCR ACM Committee will normally serve a two calendar year term. Elections will be in November.
  3. A chairperson shall be elected by the NCR ACM members from within the Committee for a period of two years subject to annual review.
  4. Non-voting partners consisting of representatives from the Treasury Board, Public Works and Government Services Canada(PWGSC), HRCS and/or other organizations invited to the NCR ACM meetings.

Committee Structure

  • The Chairperson will be assisted and supported by Committee members, which includes the Vice-chair, Communication Officer and Secretary.
  • Working sub-committees may be established. Each sub-committee will be composed of a minimum of three persons, one of whom will be a member of the NCR ACM.
  • NCR ACM meetings will be held monthly. (with the exception of July & August)
  • Individuals who do not sit on the NCR ACM will be asked to participate on various projects or assignments.
