Compensation and Public Service Pension Centre Service Levels

Compensation Sector - administers government payroll, pension and insurance processes, and maintains and develops the compensation computer systems. Compensation Sector also provides specialized pension services for the administration of superannuation plans other than the Public Service Superannuation Plan (PSSP).

Compensation Service Levels

Public Service Pension Centre - This Sector administers the pension plan, as governed by the Public Service Superannuation Act (PSSA) for federal public service employees. The Pension Center also provides administrative support to the underwriters responsible for several public service group benefit plans: the Public Service Health Care Plan (PSHCP), the Public Service Dental Care Plan (DCP), the Pensioners' Dental Services Plan, the Public Service Management Insurance Plan (PSMIP), the Disability Insurance Plan (DI) and the Post Retirement Life Insurance Plan (PRLIP).

Receiver General Service Levels

Banking and Cash Management Sector - manages the government's cash by negotiating banking arrangements for the receipt and deposit of amounts payable to the Crown, issuing all Receiver General payments, and controlling the government's bank accounts.

Banking and Cash Management Sector Service Levels

Central Accounting and Reporting Sector - maintains the Accounts of Canada, prepares the Public Accounts of Canada and produces the Government's Monthly statements of Financial Operations (MSFO). CARS also manages the Treasury Board-endorsed shared departmental financial management system commonly named Common Departmental Financial System (CDFS) and provides support to 19 departments.

Central Accounting and Reporting Sector Service Levels

Cheque Redemption Control Directorate - manages the redemption of payments and offers investigative and custodial services for Federal Government payments. CRCD also provides optional document handling and storage services for departments.
