Public Opinion Research Reports On-line

Since 1994, public opinion research (POR) reports have been made available in paper format at Library and Archives Canada (LAC) for the public and at the Library of Parliament for members of Parliament and the Press.

In the autumn 2005, Library and Archives Canada agreed to receive, catalogue and post electronic versions of POR reports in its Electronic Collection. The Public Opinion Research Directorate of Public Work and Government Services Canada transferred its inventory of approximately 800 electronic files (received from 1999-2005) to LAC. This inventory represents a fraction of all the reports deposited with the libraries in paper format.

The reports are listed according to the issuing department's name, year, POR project number and individual title. Each catalogued title has a unique URL.
