Tender Document checklist (for Specifications Footnote *)
General
- Latest version of the National Master Specification (NMS) has been used
- Reference standards utilized are the most recent standards (including dates/titles)
- Dimensions/sizes are given in metric (no dual dimensioning is permitted)
- All references are to the "Departmental Representative" (Owner, Consultants, Engineer, Architect are not acceptable)
- The heading respects formatting requirements (no mention of the consultant in the heading)
- Cross references from section to section have been coordinated
- Sections have been included for all work identified on drawings
Index
- Index is included and follows the correct format (see Specification Brief)
- Index lists all the specification sections (A/M/E) and correct number of pages per section
- All drawings are listed in the index with the same titles as those on the drawings
Division 1
- Section 01 00 10 has been used and the "Specification Notes' were followed
- Section 01 35 30 has been included
- The Designated Substance Report has been included (mandatory in Ontario and recommended in Quebec)
Specifying materials
- Materials are specified using standards and performance criteria (if not, the correct form of acceptable materials has been used. References to "or equivalent" is not acceptable
- Correct wording has been used and a justification provided to Real Property Contracting Services (RPCS) when sole sourcing a product
Warranties
- The standard 12 - 24 month warranty has the correct terminology
- The correct terminology has been used and justification provided to RPCS when warranty extends more then 24 months
