Explanation

The purpose of the analysis phase control point is to allow a review by the appropriate authority of the investment analysis report (IAR) submission documents (for example IAR and associated documents to meet Public Services and Procurement Canada requirements for project approval/expenditure authority [planning and design] submission). The granting of a project approval/expenditure authority (planning and design) is a confirmation that the recommended investment solution is accepted and that the project as described should proceed to the planning phase of the project delivery stage.
