Explanation

At preliminary project approval, the Business Case recommendation is approved by the appropriate approval body. This approval includes confirmation of the recommended investment solution as well as approval to proceed to the Planning Phase of the project delivery stage.

PPA approval Includes:

• Spending authority to take the project to EPA; and
• Includes an indicative project budget approval.

Deliverables

• Business Case (equivalent to the IAR)
• Project charter
• Updated Project complexity and risk assessment
