NPMS Deliverables Templates
Explanation
From an NPMS perspective, the term "deliverables" refers to the project management documents that are required for approval at the nine NPMS control points. From a broad project management perspective, "deliverable" refers to those documents, products, results or services that must be produced by the project in order to achieve its intended purpose and outcomes.
In the NPMS « Lite » version, Business Projects-IT-Enabled must produce the following control point Deliverables:
- Statement of requirements
- Screening Tool (This deliverable is produced if the project is a maintenance project with an estimated cost <$1M)
- Preliminary project plan (PPP)
- Business Case
- Project charter
- Close out document
Other deliverables may be developed by the project or technical team in accordance with specific project requirements, depending on the context, size, complexity and intended purpose of the project. For more information regarding these suggested deliverables, refer to the NPMS Roadmap.
