Description

Do you know what an anacoluthon is? What about a zeugma or a solecism? They are all names of problems with sentence structure (or syntax) that can make a translated text ambiguous or even unintentionally hilarious. This workshop will help participants recognize these errors in order to avoid them. The workshop will also focus on reviewing the rules for using present participles in English and in French.

Prerequisite

Participants must already be involved in translating or revising texts from English to French.

Language

The workshop is given in French; however, participants are welcome to use the official language of their choice.
