Celebrate National Public Service Week

June 8, 2020

This past year, and particularly over the last few months, we’ve gotten a lot done, demonstrating that PSPC is an accomplished and skilled organization that gets results for Canadians. In the midst of a global pandemic, we turned challenges into opportunities and demonstrated innovation, adaptability and resilience.

Over the last two months, PSPC has played a vital role in receiving and distributing personal protective equipment, in helping partners keep track of returning travellers to ensure they respect their 14-day quarantine, and in supplying 10 million face shields to Health Canada, to name a few.

This National Public Service Week (NPSW), from June 14 to 20, let’s take a moment to reflect on and celebrate our hard work and our achievements.

Here’s how you can celebrate National Public Service Week:

  • Organize some fun virtual activities with your teams
  • Tune in to Informal Fridays with the Ombudsman for Mental Health on Facebook or Zoom on June 19, at 1 pm
  • Reach out to your manager or your NPSW coordinator to find out which activities are organized in your region and your branch

Recognize the excellence of your team

NPSW is a great opportunity to express your appreciation for colleagues, managers, employees and clients. After all, they’re the ones who make a difference every day!

The NPSW toolbox contains a variety of thank-you cards and recognition certificates you can send to a deserving colleague. You can also visit the Recognition Program web page for more ideas.

Happy National Public Service Week!
