CGSB partners with the Treasury Board Secretariat to certify personnel in Procurement and Materiel Management

The Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) has a program to certify employees in the Federal Government Procurement and Materiel Management Community. The purpose of this program, jointly developed by the CGSB and the Treasury Board Secretariat and administered by CGSB, is to certify public servants delivering procurement and material management services with respect to clearly defined procurement requirements.

CGSB uses a third-party, independent verification process which evaluates that products and services meet specific requirements. To date, more than 130 Procurement and Materiel Management specialists are certified to this program.
