Pursuant to paragraph 4(1) of the Western Economic Diversification Act, the Minister of Industry has been appointed as the appropriate minister for the Department of Western Economic Diversification, effective March 14, 2025. Prior to the transfer, non-statutory expenditures of approximately $246,243,879 were approved by the Minister of Northern Affairs, Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency. Previous year's amounts have been restated by $377,607,534.

Pursuant to paragraph 2(1) of the Department of Industry Act, the Minister of Industry has been appointed as the appropriate minister for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency, effective March 14, 2025. Prior to the transfer, non-statutory expenditures of approximately $52,527,620 were approved by the Minister of Northern Affairs, Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada and Minister responsible for the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency. Previous year's amounts have been restated by $87,358,298.
