Order in Council P.C. 2025–0437, designated the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons as the appropriate minister for the Leaders' Debates Commission, effective March 14, 2025. Prior to the transfer, the Commission was under the responsibility of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness and non-statutory expenditures of approximately $408,209 were approved by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.

Order in Council P.C. 2025–0438, and designated the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons as the appropriate minister for the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, effective March 14, 2025. Prior to the transfer, the Office was under the responsibility of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness and non-statutory expenditures of approximately $58,421,321 were approved by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.

During the year, the Secretariat of the National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentarians was transferred from the Ministry of Parliament to the Ministry of Democratic Institutions, effective March 14, 2025. Prior to the transfer, non-statutory expenditures of approximately $2,395,891 were approved by the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons.
