Order in Council P.C. 2025–0415, designated the Minister of Canadian Heritage as the appropriate minister for the Parks Canada Agency, effective March 14, 2025. Prior to the transfer, the Agency was under the responsibility of the Minister of the Environment and non-statutory expenditures of approximately $894,236,890 were approved by the Minister of the Environment.
As of March 14, 2025, the appropriate Minister for Parks Canada Agency and the Department for Women and Gender Equality is the Minister of Canadian Heritage. Parks Canada and Women, Gender Equality and Youth have been reported under Canadian Heritage in Sections 2 and 3 of Volume I but reflected separately in all other sections of the Public Accounts.
