Direct deposit

Alert

To support efforts preventing the spread of COVID-19, we encourage direct deposit enrolment for Canadians eligible for Government of Canada payments and benefits, including Employment Insurance (EI) or the Canadian Recovery Benefit (CRB), the Canadian Recovery Sickness Benefit (CRSB), and the Canadian Recovery Caregiving Benefit (CRCB).

The Government of Canada is switching from cheques to direct deposit, an electronic transfer of funds deposited directly into your bank account. Direct deposit is faster, more convenient and more secure. Enrol for direct deposit or update the banking information you already have on file.
