SUBJECT: Exclusion Code 29

1.1 Further to Compensation Directive 1997-002 dated January 22, 1997, the purpose of this directive is to inform you that exclusion code 29 (bargaining status) has been reintegrated into the Regional Pay System (Regional Pay System (RPS)) programs.

2.1 Because of the extensive use of exclusion code 29 by Separate Employers, Treasury Board Canada has requested that this exclusion code be reinstated immediately. Exclusion code 29 is now available in the RPS and may be used.

3.1 Exclusion code 29 applies to a person employed in an organization not listed in Schedule 1, Part 1 of the Public Service Staff Relations Act.
