Dear Mr. Wernick;

I’m writing to you in response to your letter dated November 2, 2017 requesting information concerning the Canadian Grain Commission’s actions in stabilizing the pay system.

The Canadian Grain Commission has identified this as a high priority and has implemented steps to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. Please find included Appendix A outlining the steps that have been taken to date surrounding resourcing, data integrity, communication and collaboration, metrics, as well as a list of future initiatives to support the stabilization of pay.

Also included for your reference under Appendix B, is our detailed reporting on pay within the Canadian Grain Commission for the first two fiscal quarters of this year (2017/2018).  This presentation outlines our key priorities, initiatives, work plan and metrics.

We have successfully implemented all recommendations indicated in the “HR to Pay Integrated Team” document which you had supplied.

We continue to work collaboratively with all stakeholders towards the goal of stabilizing the pay system.
