Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding as we continue to address employee pay problems. We are working hard to make sure that all employees are properly paid for their work.

Yesterday, I provided an update on the progress we have made in addressing employee pay cases.

We have developed a detailed schedule to manage the backlog of cases, which you can find online. Since my last update, approximately 1,100 employee cases in the backlog have been resolved, and 486 employees who had reported missing pay received a payment.

We have hired more people, opened regional offices across the country and added phone lines so that employees with pay issues can get through and speak to someone.

We will continue to make improvements in the weeks ahead.

Don’t forget to ask for salary advances if you are facing financial distress because of this situation.

As well, talk to your manager about available support if you are having trouble coping with this situation.

I invite you to read my statement.
