Step 6: Maintaining compliance

This step is all about making sure your organization and employees stay compliant with security requirements.

Company security officer training

We strongly encourage your company security officer (CSO) and alternate company security officer (ACSO) to take training to learn about their responsibilities and how to comply with the requirements of the Contract Security Program (CSP). To ask for training, your CSO and ACSO must send an email to tpsgc.ssidsicsensibilisation-isscisdoutreach.pwgsc@tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca.

Learn more about the training available to your organization in the Contract security training.

Contract Security Manual

Your CSO and ACSO must also take the time to read the Contract Security Manual. This manual covers the requirements that organizations must follow to maintain their security clearance with the CSP.

Aftercare

Aftercare is an important responsibility for the CSO and ACSO of your organization. It is also a responsibility that employees of your organization must take after they receive their reliability status or security clearance.

To learn more about aftercare practices, we strongly encourage your CSO, ACSO and employees to check out the aftercare and security awareness webinar.

News and updates about contract security

To stay compliant with the CSP, your CSO and ACSO must stay up to date with security processes and requirements. To access the latest news and updates about the CSP, your CSO and ACSO should visit the news and updates about contract security regularly.
