What do we buy
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is to establish a NMSO for Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) and other government departments, agencies, Crown corporations as well as organizations participating in the Canadian Collaborative Procurement Initiative (CCPI).
This procurement tool is used for the supply of Beacons and Lanterns on buoy systems such as:
- omnidirectional beacons
- rotating beacons
- self-contained LED lanterns (SCOLL)
How do we buy
- This competitive requirement will be posted to CanadaBuys for 15 to 20 calendar days
- Offerors shall compete by offering prices for each of the groups/categories
- Offerors shall provide firm unit prices per product or system, delivered duty paid to destination as identified in each call-up
- The standing offer (SO) allows for delivery on a cost reimbursable basis
- Offers evaluation is on a lowest price per category basis
- The SO is valid for a period of 1 year, with 2 options for an additional 1 year period

As a result of the business volume, economies of scale are generated by the use of SO. CCPI Participants benefit from having quick access to buoy lanterns and beacons as well as being able to use an efficient procurement method to fulfill their requirements.
