What do we buy
The purpose of this requirement is for the provision of commercially available off-the-shelf tactical operations dry suits (TODS). The TODS shell must be made of a waterproof and breathable dry suit with reinforced ballistic nylon fabric and include drainage preventing water from being trapped within the suit. Suits are intended for the Marine Intervention Teams, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Each TODS must come with one repair kit.
How do we buy
- No early engagements nor request for information with industry will be conducted as this is considered a commercial off the shelf product
- This competitive requirement will be posted on CanadaBuys for 35-40 calendar days resulting in the issuance of 2 potential standing offers
- Bidders will compete by offering prices for the TODS and repair kits specified in the request for standing offer; evaluated against mandatory criteria
- The two responsive offers with lowest aggregate price will be recommended for the issuance of a standing offer. The ranking will be established using the estimated quantities for all items (TODS and repair kits and options)
- The period of the SO will be 3 years and will include up to 2 one-year option periods
- The TODS and repair kits will be procured as a call-up against the standing offer
