What do we buy
Portable generators—Inverter generators (stream 1) and AC/Conventional generators (stream 2) for deployment in all areas within Canada, including those areas subject to comprehensive land claim agreements (CLCA).
How do we buy
- Standing offers are used to buy portable generators
- 1 solicitation is issued for the requirement and open to all suppliers
- Suppliers are either the manufacturer or a distributor
- Suppliers compete by offering percentage discounts off of manufacturer supplied price lists. The suppliers are ranked by discount percentage by stream, making it easy for clients to find the supplier with the best overall value
- A maximum of 2 suppliers per stream are awarded a standing offer (SO)
- The standing offer is for a period of 2 years with an option for 2 additional 1 year periods
