Disruption of mail services

Public Service and Procurement Canada has appropriate contingency plans in place in the event of a postal service interruption at Canada Post and every effort will be made to ensure that your pension payments are delivered.

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions or contact the Government of Canada Pension Centre if you are unsure if the postal service interruption impacts you.

Active members

While disruption in mail service may be inconvenient, our services are still available to you by phone, fax, e-mail and online using the Compensation Web Applications (CWA).

Retired members

If you receive pension payments through direct deposit, your payments will not be affected. If you receive your pension payments by cheque in the mail, please be reassured that every effort is being made to ensure that you receive your payments.

If you normally receive your pension cheque at a postal box address, we encourage you to contact the Government of Canada Pension Centre to make alternate arrangement in the event of a postal interruption.

To avoid future payment delays we encourage you to sign up for direct deposit by contacting the Government of Canada Pension Centre.
